Nikolai Golovkin vs Vasili Smetsky

Boxing Daily Report from the Mulundu Promotions promoted show at Sizomu Gym, Odessa,  taking place on 02/08/2026:

Clearly Mulundu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ukraine-Odesa Oblast Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nikolai Golovkin (7 - 9) who hails from Odessa, Ukraine and Vasili Smetsky(6 - 8 - 2) from Odessa, Ukraine.  Golovkin weighed in at 107 pounds and 11 ounces, while Smetsky weighed in at 107 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dimi Moiseyev, and the three ringside judges are Yevhen Czyz, Anton Danko and Yevhen Czyz.
