Hajime Kawakami vs Takeshi Takei

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Aichi promoted show at Nagoya Okimoto, Nagoya,  taking place on 03/08/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Aichi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Aichi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hajime Kawakami (11 - 1) who hails from Ichinomiya, Japan and Takeshi Takei(12 - 8(1) - 2) from Nagoya, Japan.  Kawakami weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces, while Takei weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yasushi Jin, and the three ringside judges are Kazuki Tsuda, Mikio Yasuda and Satoshi Iwai.
