Myung-joo Chong vs Hyun-soo Ra

Boxing Daily Report from the Boateng Promotions promoted show at Asan Kook, Asan,  taking place on 03/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Korea-South Chungcheong Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports Korea, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Myung-joo Chong (16 - 2(1)) who hails from Cheonan, South Korea and Hyun-soo Ra(13 - 10 - 1) from Seosan, South Korea.  Chong weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces, while Ra weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chan-dong Yu, and the three ringside judges are Keun-ho So, Chul Choe and Hyun-soo To.
