Yoshi Okamura vs Shinji Fukuda

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 22/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the East Asian Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Yoshi Okamura (8 - 4 - 1) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Shinji Fukuda(16 - 3) from Fukuoka, Japan.  Okamura weighed in at 228 pounds and 10 ounces, while Fukuda weighed in at 236 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michi Uyehara, and the three ringside judges are Nori Saito, Isamu Okimoto and Kenji Sera.
