Brett Toroitich vs Robert Vara

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Oromait, Kampala,  taking place on 02/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brett Toroitich (9 - 6 - 4) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Robert Vara(8 - 4 - 1) from Kampala, Uganda.  Toroitich weighed in at 242 pounds and 14 ounces, while Vara weighed in at 217 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dai Birungi, and the three ringside judges are Dave Ojara, Jack Mugo and Mason Mayombo.
