Aftab Shabazz vs Thompson Goje

Boxing Daily Report from the Chileshe Promotions promoted show at Nigeria-Edo State Gym, Benin City,  taking place on 05/08/2026:

Clearly Chileshe Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Edo State Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aftab Shabazz (6(2) - 0 - 1) who hails from Benin City, Nigeria and Thompson Goje(7 - 0) from Benin City, Nigeria.  Both Shabazz and Goje weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brendan Lasbrey, and the three ringside judges are John Okri, Isaac Olayombo and Yakubu Ezeifekaibeya.  

Round 1:
