Boxing Daily Report from the Shanungu Promotions promoted show at Ilorin Khan, Ilorin,  taking place on 05/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kwara State Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Akubeze (10 - 6) who hails from Ilorin, Nigeria and Brown Odita(10 - 6(1) - 1) from Ilorin, Nigeria.  Both Akubeze and Odita weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Acquah, and the three ringside judges are Gazi Ansari, Kamran Kalil and Majid Farooq.
