Evgeny Itigilov vs Borya Tuvshinbayar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mongolia-Ulaanbaatar promoted show at Ulaanbaatar Buryatsky, Ulaanbaatar,  taking place on 09/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mongolia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MNB, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Evgeny Itigilov (6 - 8 - 2) who hails from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Borya Tuvshinbayar(14(3) - 3 - 1) from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  Itigilov weighed in at 153 pounds and 8 ounces, while Tuvshinbayar weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shihab Kartaew, and the three ringside judges are Vasili Chinbat, Baz Dashi and Fedar Davaadalai.  

Round 1: 

Tuvshinbayar gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Itigilov pivots from in front of his opponent.  Itigilov throws a left hook, but Tuvshinbayar clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Tuvshinbayar pushes his forearm into Itigilov's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tuvshinbayar.  
Itigilov is looking to keep his distance and is on target with an overhand right.  
Tuvshinbayar steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Itigilov on the ropes.  Tuvshinbayar lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Tuvshinbayar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Itigilov throws a left hook, but Tuvshinbayar ties up his opponent.  Tuvshinbayar leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Tuvshinbayar tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Itigilov behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Itigilov tries to land an overhand right, but Tuvshinbayar slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Tuvshinbayar crashes a spiteful left hook to Itigilov's body.  ITIGILOV WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Itigilov quickly recovers. 
Tuvshinbayar digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Tuvshinbayar clinches his opponent.  Tuvshinbayar leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As Itigilov tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tuvshinbayar dabs at his face checking for damage.

Itigilov steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a telling left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ITIGILOV WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Tuvshinbayar senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Itigilov and just needs the right shot.  Tuvshinbayar lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DROPS ITIGILOV TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  It looks like Itigilov has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Tuvshinbayar forces Itigilov to retreat onto the ropes.  Tuvshinbayar whips in a spiteful right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  ITIGILOV IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.

Tuvshinbayar pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a FIERCE left hook.  ITIGILOV HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Tuvshinbayar!
