Wu-pen Bao vs Xiaoping Niu

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at FGB Arena, Abu Dhabi,  taking place on 29/08/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Al Jazeera Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wu-pen Bao (13(8) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Fuzhou, China and Xiaoping Niu(7 - 8(1) - 1) from Fuzhou, China.  Bao weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces, while Niu weighed in at 125 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Amer Fyad, and the three ringside judges are Amer Fyad, Zain Bey and Asif Burkitt.  

Round 1: 

Niu is looking to close the distance.  Bao lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Bao clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Bao pushes his forearm into Niu's face.  The referee warns Bao and breaks the clinch.  
Niu sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bao lands a cross to Niu's body.  
Bao is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Bao clinches his opponent.  Bao leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bao lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Bao clinches his opponent.  Bao uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Niu behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bao about fouling.  
Bao senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Bao whips in a hurtful left uppercut to Niu's liver.  DOWN GOES NIU!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Niu now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bao gets on the inside.  Niu throws a left hook, but Bao holds on to his opponent.  Bao is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Bao and breaks the clinch.  
Bao is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bao lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Bao ties up his opponent.  Bao leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bao digs in a powerful right hook to his opponents body.  NIU HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Niu now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bao walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Bao lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Bao is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Bao digs in a right hook to Niu's body.  
Bao steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Bao thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Niu away.  Bao crashes a DEVASTATING left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  NIU HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE NIU CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Bao!
