Waqas Megherbi vs Irfan Kardjena

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Algeria-Alger promoted show at Zain Khodja Gym, Algiers,  taking place on 14/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria-Alger Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal Algérie, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Megherbi (8 - 6 - 2) who hails from Algiers, Algeria and Irfan Kardjena(10 - 7(1) - 3) from Algiers, Algeria.  Megherbi weighed in at 175 pounds, while Kardjena weighed in at 174 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Irfan Belmokhtar, and the three ringside judges are Aftab Cherif, Abdul Gardel and Haaris Sendid.
