Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Complejo Ferial de Puerto Rico, Ponce,  taking place on 24/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro El Pirolitico Merino (16 - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Lorenzo Merlo(15 - 7(2) - 1) from Mexico City, Mexico.  Merino weighed in at 125 pounds and 9 ounces, while Merlo weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lorenzo Capo, and the three ringside judges are Porfio Miguel, Nicandro Martinez and Nicandro Martinez.
