Diego Ortegon vs Neper Galdamez

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Parque Luis Méndez Piana, Montevideo,  taking place on 30/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uruguay Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diego Ortegon (9(2) - 1 - 2) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Neper Galdamez(14 - 2(1) - 3) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Ortegon weighed in at 200 pounds, while Galdamez weighed in at 199 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Berto Beltre, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Gregorio, Santiago Remedios and Cuba Leiva.
