Federico Lona vs Diego Bobo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Baja California promoted show at Tijuana Vicencio, Tijuana,  taking place on 18/07/2026:

Clearly AI Mexico-Baja California have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Federico Lona (9 - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Diego Bobo(4 - 0) from Mexicali, Mexico.  Both Lona and Bobo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Macario, and the three ringside judges are Porfio Rodriguez, Eloy Almeida and Juan Valdes.  

Round 1: 

Lona hits home with a cross.  
Bobo is looking to close the distance.  Lona quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bobo is on target with a right hook.
