Jose Cosio vs Olindo Contrera

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Coahuila promoted show at Ngwenya Gym, Saltillo,  taking place on 18/07/2026:

Clearly AI Mexico-Coahuila have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Coahuila Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Cosio (5 - 0) who hails from Torreon, Mexico and Olindo Contrera(9 - 0) from Saltillo, Mexico.  Both Cosio and Contrera weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rio Milan, and the three ringside judges are Porfio Danon, Dimos Lona and Vegas Lechuga.
