Alejandro Mero vs Gig Pedroza

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Monterrey Pichon, Monterrey,  taking place on 16/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Mero (6 - 0) who hails from Monterrey, Mexico and Gig Pedroza(16 - 0 - 1) from San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.  Both Mero and Pedroza weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Fuertes, and the three ringside judges are Juan Velasquez, Carlos Benavente and Porfio Bosque.
