Kashif Pashia vs Phil Balmer

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Paul Maya Gym, Yuma,  taking place on 19/08/2026:

Clearly AI USA-Arizona have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kashif Pashia (8 - 2) who hails from Albuquerque, USA and Phil Balmer(6 - 3 - 2) from Tucson, USA.  Pashia weighed in at 104 pounds And 7 ounces, while Balmer weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tariq Mahmoud, and the three ringside judges are Lloyd San Angelo, Paul Lowrey and Ashley Walls.

Pashia hits home with a left uppercut.

Balmer is looking to close the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Pashia.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
