Yutaka Sugimoto vs Isamu Fujiwara

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Funabashi Kiyabu, Funabashi,  taking place on 23/07/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Chiba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yutaka Sugimoto (8 - 2) who hails from Ichikawa, Japan and Isamu Fujiwara(3 - 3) from Chiba, Japan.  Both Sugimoto and Fujiwara weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eiji Ozaki, and the three ringside judges are Kenji Aoyama, Michi Anzai and Daiki Matsunaga.
