Jiro Kamei vs Kaede Hamada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Osaka Yamashita, Osaka,  taking place on 23/07/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Osaka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Osaka Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jiro Kamei (11 - 7 - 4) who hails from Suita, Japan and Kaede Hamada(4 - 14 - 1) from Suita, Japan.  Kamei weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces, while Hamada weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Mayeda, and the three ringside judges are Akira Iha, Goro Tsuchida and Takeshi Katayama.  

Round 1:

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Hamada.  That has caused a minor cut above the right eye.  .
