Amer Emami vs Salvador Padua

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Antioquia promoted show at Universidad EAFIT, Medellin,  taking place on 20/08/2026:

Clearly AI Colombia-Antioquia have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Amer Emami (6(4) - 1(1)) who hails from Karaj, Iran and Salvador Padua(2 - 4) from Medellin, Colombia.  Emami weighed in at 130 pounds, while Padua weighed in at 129 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Oihane Colon, and the three ringside judges are Selestino Corbo, Alejandro Forero and Bronco Barragan.  

Round 1: 

Emami stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Padua lands a left hook.  
Emami lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Emami closes the distance and digs in a left hook to Padua's ribs.

Emami quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Emami tries to land a left hook, but Padua dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  Padua now seems to have got his legs back.  
Padua steps inside.  Emami lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Emami ties up his opponent.  Emami throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Emami lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Emami connects with a left hook.  
Emami pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Padua advances into close range.  Emami connects with a left uppercut.  
Emami lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Padua tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Padua advances into close range.  Emami hits home with a stinging left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Padua's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Padua's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate. Emami cuts off the ring, trapping Padua on the ropes.  Emami is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Emami is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Padua pivots from in front of his opponent.  Emami lands a ramrod jab.

He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Emami!
