Xabat Quirino vs Rodrigo Montes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Cortes promoted show at Marjun Noguera Gym, San Pedro Sula,  taking place on 21/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras-Cortes Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xabat Quirino (8 - 3) who hails from Choloma, Honduras and Rodrigo Montes(4 - 6 - 2) from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.  Both Quirino and Montes weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cipriano Lanza, and the three ringside judges are Sagaz Hernandez, Francisco Millian and Angel Olivero.  

Round 1: 

Quirino lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.
