David Saunderson vs Hugh Burns

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven,  taking place on 27/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Saunderson (16 - 0) who hails from Bridgeport, USA and Hugh Burns(13 - 7(2)) from New York City, USA.  Saunderson weighed in at 139 pounds and 4 ounces, while Burns weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Rennick, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Kelton, Paul Muncie and Paul Muncie.  

Round 1:
