Ibrahim Shaheed vs Ahmed Noorani

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Gujurat University Exhibition Hall, Ahmedabad,  taking place on 28/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the India-Gujurat Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ibrahim Shaheed (10(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Ahmedabad, India and Ahmed Noorani(11 - 5 - 2) from Surat, India.  Both Shaheed and Noorani weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Shakoor, and the three ringside judges are Ajeet Matthai, Zafa Firman and Gurudas Kalla.  

Round 1: 

Noorani sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Shaheed lands with a spiteful jab.  
Noorani attempts to land a cross, but Shaheed dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Shaheed is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Shaheed feints a left, and then lands a stiff jab.  
Noorani walks Shaheed down, trapping him on the ropes.  Shaheed hits home with a cross.  
Noorani steps inside.  Shaheed lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Shaheed hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Shaheed connects with a sharp overhand left.  
Shaheed tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Shaheed is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Noorani steps inside.  Shaheed is on target with a sharp right hook to Noorani's ribs.  Shaheed holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Shaheed pushes his forearm into Noorani's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Shaheed about fouling.  
Noorani gets on the inside and walks his opponent into the blue corner.  Shaheed lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Shaheed lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Shaheed lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Shaheed lands a cross.  
Shaheed lands a stinging cross.  
Shaheed lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Noorani almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Noorani forces Shaheed to retreat onto the ropes.  Shaheed lands a solid jab to Noorani's body.  
Noorani is looking to close the distance.  Shaheed digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  Shaheed holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Shaheed pushes his forearm into Noorani's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Shaheed about fouling.  
Shaheed is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Shaheed lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Noorani's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Noorani's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Noorani advances into close range.  Shaheed lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Shaheed steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Shaheed senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Noorani and just needs the right shot.  Shaheed EXPLODES a MASSIVE right uppercut into his opponents face.  NOORANI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Noorani now seems to have got his legs back.  
Noorani closes the distance.  Shaheed is on target with a right hook.  
Shaheed is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Shaheed steps away from his opponent.  Shaheed sidesteps to the right of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
Shaheed is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Shaheed feints a left, and then lands a cross, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Noorani recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Shaheed digs in a right hook to Noorani's body.  
Noorani closes the distance.  Shaheed wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Noorani.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Shaheed tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a stinging cross.  
Shaheed lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Shaheed is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Shaheed feints a cross, and then hits home with a hard jab.  
Noorani steps inside.  Shaheed throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Shaheed holds on to his opponent.  Shaheed leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Shaheed connects with a VICIOUS cross.  NOORANI IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Shaheed!
