Oro Barrio vs Rafael Merlos

Boxing Daily Report from the Cestrian promotions promoted show at Pavelló Girona-Fontajau, Barcelona,  taking place on 28/09/2026:

Clearly Cestrian promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Spain-Catalonia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Oro Barrio (14(7) - 0) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Rafael Merlos(7 - 6(1) - 4) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Barrio and Merlos weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Elias Moreton, and the three ringside judges are Seferino Cosme, Leonel Nicodemus and Carlos Oseguera.
