Jun Tone vs Akira Sano

Boxing Daily Report from the Nottinggham Promotions promoted show at Sendai International Center Hagi Hall, Sendai,  taking place on 22/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jun Tone (12(1) - 0 - 1) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Akira Sano(11(3) - 2) from Sendai, Japan.  Tone weighed in at 146 pounds and 1 ounces, while Sano weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Keiichi Sakai, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Matsui, Satoru Oyama and Mitsuru Asano.
