Charles Irungu vs Kieran Kibiwot

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Uhuru Basketball Court, Nairobi,  taking place on 23/08/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Kenya-Nairobi Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Charles Irungu (12 - 3(1) - 2) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Kieran Kibiwot(19(1) - 0) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Irungu weighed in at 135 pounds, while Kibiwot weighed in at 134 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Leon Cassam, and the three ringside judges are Manu Yator, Nathan Andersson and Rex Odhieng.
