Ichiro Maruyama vs Isamu Takemoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Ochiai Park Gymnasium, Kasugai,  taking place on 26/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ichiro The Hokage Maruyama (16(2) - 0) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Isamu Takemoto(8 - 15(1)) from Kasugai, Japan.  Maruyama weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces, while Takemoto weighed in at 111 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Mochizuki, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Shiroma, Kenji Shimoda and Yutaka Okubo.  

Round 1: 

Takemoto sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Maruyama lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a right hook to the body.

Takemoto could be stopped here, if Maruyama can find the right shot!  Maruyama lands a big right hook.  TAKEMOTO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Maruyama manages to force Takemoto into the blue corner.  Maruyama knows Takemoto is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Maruyama lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND DROPS TAKEMOTO!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Maruyama!
