Joshua Downie vs Rob Gilliland

Boxing Daily Report from the hard hitting promotions promoted show at Denton Harvey Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 31/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Joshua Downie (0 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Rob Gilliland(0 - 0) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Downie weighed in at 167 pounds and 7 ounces, while Gilliland weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Crandall, and the three ringside judges are Brad Cardwell, Cole Wadle and Joe Sare.  

Round 1: 

Downie is looking to close the distance.  Gilliland throws a right hook, but Downie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Downie pushes his forearm into Gilliland's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Downie to stop fouling.

Downie walks Gilliland onto the ropes.  Gilliland throws a left hook, but Downie clinches his opponent.  Downie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
