Joshua Gilfillan vs Rob Lawson

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 29/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Oceania Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joshua Gilfillan (19(2) - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Rob Lawson(13 - 3 - 2) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Gilfillan weighed in at 160 pounds, while Lawson weighed in at 158 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ian Rabb, and the three ringside judges are Zain Sharifi, Robert Reekie and Dan Nish.
