Rodrigo Aragona vs Macario Briceno

Boxing Daily Report from the Acquah Promotions promoted show at Medellin Portalatin, Medellin,  taking place on 26/08/2026:

Clearly Acquah Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Antioquia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rodrigo Aragona (7 - 9 - 4) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Macario Briceno(4 - 5 - 5) from Itagui, Colombia.  Aragona weighed in at 122 pounds, while Briceno weighed in at 121 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Selestino Corbo, and the three ringside judges are Oihane Colon, Edmundo Estacio and Vidal Lopez.  

Round 1: 

Briceno throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
