Montenegro Chia vs Reyes Contrera

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Guerrero promoted show at Acapulco Vicario, Acapulco,  taking place on 26/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Guerrero Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Chia (8 - 8 - 1) who hails from Acapulco, Mexico and Reyes Contrera(6 - 6 - 2) from Chipancingo, Mexico.  Chia weighed in at 107 pounds and 11 ounces, while Contrera weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Rayos, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Sancho, Joaquin Gracia and Jerrold Santibanez.
