Quinto Zermeno vs Fraco Quijada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-NCR promoted show at Manila Tadeo, Manila,  taking place on 29/07/2026:

Clearly AI Philippines-NCR have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-NCR Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quinto Zermeno (9 - 6 - 2) who hails from Pasig, Philippines and Fraco Quijada(14 - 2 - 2) from Caloocan, Philippines.  Both Zermeno and Quijada weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Bejar, and the three ringside judges are Roman Ferro, Jaguar Bumacod and Diego Mangay-ayam.  

Round 1: 

Zermeno manouvers Quijada into a corner.  Zermeno hits home with a left uppercut.  
Zermeno sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Quijada hits home with a cross.  
As Quijada tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Zermeno dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Zermeno is looking to keep his distance and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Quijada walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Quijada pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Quijada throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Zermeno cuts off the ring, trapping Quijada on the ropes.  Zermeno throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Quijada to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Zermeno and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.
