Kyle Lockhart vs James Mattick

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Waitakere Ford, Waitakere,  taking place on 28/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kyle Lockhart (7 - 1 - 2) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and James Mattick(11 - 4 - 3) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Lockhart and Mattick weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glynn Telford, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Ngarongomate, Kyle Stine and Harvey Dorch.  

Round 1: 

Lockhart pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Lockhart closes the distance.  Lockhart pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mattick hits home with a left uppercut.
