Rashid Ataya vs Zafa Jalili

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Saudi Arabia-West promoted show at Jeddah Malick, Jeddah,  taking place on 01/08/2026:

Clearly AI Saudi Arabia-West have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Saudi Arabia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rashid Ataya (14(1) - 5(3) - 1) who hails from Mecca, Saudi Arabia and Zafa Jalili(16 - 4(2)) from Medina, Saudi Arabia.  Both Ataya and Jalili weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sajid Alnaqbi, and the three ringside judges are Syed Farha, Aftab Toma and Majid Abdella.
