Cole Abbott vs Oscar Whan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Meredith, Christchurch,  taking place on 01/08/2026:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Canterbury have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cole Abbott (1 - 0) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Oscar Whan(8 - 10) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Abbott and Whan weighed in at 112 pounds.
