Floyd Cassidy vs Alejandro Galicia

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Sheraton Grand Nashville, Nashville,  taking place on 12/09/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Floyd Cassidy (8 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Alejandro Galicia(6 - 4(1)) from Riverside, USA.  Both Cassidy and Galicia weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leighton Parry, and the three ringside judges are Robert Davidson, Dan Stevenson and Billy Dey.  

Round 1: 

Cassidy steps inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Cassidy pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid right hook to Galicia's ribcage.  
Cassidy lands a left uppercut.  
Cassidy drives a left hook into Galicia's ribs.  
Cassidy walks his opponent into the corner.  Cassidy connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Cassidy closes the distance and lands a left hook.

Cassidy pivots to the right of his opponent.  Galicia throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Galicia steps away from his opponent.  Cassidy is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Galicia tries to land an overhand right, but Cassidy sidesteps and counters with a right hook.
