Carlos Alcantara vs Ollie Matherson

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Complejo Ferial de Puerto Rico, Ponce,  taking place on 14/09/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos The Chosen One Alcantara (11(2) - 0) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Ollie Matherson(8 - 13(1) - 1) from Brampton, Canada.  Both Alcantara and Matherson weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nicandro Martinez, and the three ringside judges are Beltran Correira, Lorenzo Capo and Vegas Baquero.  

Round 1: 

Matherson gets on the inside.  Alcantara lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Alcantara sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.
