Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Saitama promoted show at Saitama Tabata, Saitama,  taking place on 02/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Saitama Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ichiro Nishioka (15(1) - 2 - 1) who hails from Soka, Japan and Yuichi Fujii(13 - 1 - 1) from Saitama, Japan.  Nishioka weighed in at 140 pounds, while Fujii weighed in at 139 pounds And 12 ounces.
