Heydar Mohammed vs Boris Babaeff

Boxing Daily Report from the Kamwendo Promotions promoted show at Toshkent Zaiylcanov, Toshkent,  taking place on 02/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uzbekistan-Toshkent Shahri Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Heydar Mohammed (15 - 8(2) - 1) who hails from Toshkent, Uzbekistan and Boris Babaeff(9 - 9(1) - 4) from Toshkent, Uzbekistan.  Both Mohammed and Babaeff weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rufat Orudjev, and the three ringside judges are Boris Rafiev, Daniil Caribzhanoff and Mikhail Baikodamoff.  

Round 1: 

Mohammed closes the distance and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Babaeff throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.

Mohammed walks Babaeff onto the ropes.  Mohammed pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Mohammed digs in a left uppercut to Babaeff's body.  
Mohammed drives a firm right hook into Babaeff's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mohammed.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Babaeff throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a hurtful left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BABAEFF WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Babaeff almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Babaeff lands a stiff jab.  
Babaeff attempts to land a jab, but Mohammed dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Mohammed advances into close range.  Mohammed sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into Babaeff's ribs.
