Jake Namono vs Paul Mandujano

Boxing Daily Report from the Carson Lelis promoted show at Los Angeles Tyson, Los Angeles,  taking place on 29/09/2026:

Clearly Carson Lelis have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jake Katonda Namono (6(3) - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Paul Mandujano(4 - 3 - 5) from Las Vegas, USA.  Both Namono and Mandujano weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bradley Fortun, and the three ringside judges are Bradley Eade, Dave Owen and John Edmundson.  

Round 1: 

Namono lands a sharp right hook.  
Namono closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Namono advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Namono clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Namono lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mandujano.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Namono forces Mandujano to back into the red corner.  Namono lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Namono clinches his opponent.  Namono is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Namono's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Namono gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mandujano tries to land a left hook, but Namono slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Namono attempts to land a right uppercut, but Mandujano sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Namono lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Namono steps inside.  Mandujano pivots to the side of his opponent.  Namono lands a left hook.  Namono ties up his opponent.  Mandujano leans on his opponent using all his weight. Namono tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mandujano's kidney. 
Namono pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mandujano gets on the inside.  Namono drives a stinging left hook into Mandujano's body.  
Mandujano manouvers Namono onto the ropes.  Namono is on target with a cross.  
Namono lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Namono lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mandujano dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mandujano's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mandujano's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Mandujano's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
