Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Alborz promoted show at Karaj Salim, Karaj,  taking place on 01/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Iran Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Mahdi (13 - 1 - 2) who hails from Karaj, Iran and Ali Azad(11 - 0) from Tehran, Iran.  Mahdi weighed in at 118 pounds, while Azad weighed in at 117 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Nagi, and the three ringside judges are Ahmed Barakat, Jawad Parsa and Bilal Shahan.
