John Cure vs Nick Skiver

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City,  taking place on 05/09/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on DAZN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Cure (12(5) - 3) who hails from Jersey City, USA and Nick Skiver(13 - 2 - 1(NC)) from New York City, USA.  Cure weighed in at 168 pounds, while Skiver weighed in at 167 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Cody Normand, and the three ringside judges are Robert Dalton, Jamie Loudon and Theo Halley.  

Round 1: 

Cure attempts to land a right hook, but Skiver sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
