Manu Choongo vs Xayvion Shimpande

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zambia-Lusaka promoted show at Lusaka Hangombe, Lusaka,  taking place on 03/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia-Lusaka Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Manu Choongo (6 - 7 - 1) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Xayvion Shimpande(7 - 8 - 3) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Choongo weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while Shimpande weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rich Kabaghe, and the three ringside judges are Kadeem Magande, Vandwon Sipalo and Elliot Hajamba.
