Dave McTavish vs Hikaru Uchida

Boxing Daily Report from the Carabetian Promotions promoted show at Mikio Hirai Gym, Kyoto,  taking place on 21/08/2026:

Clearly Carabetian Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dave McTavish (2 - 0) who hails from Middlesbrough, UK and Hikaru Uchida(0 - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Both McTavish and Uchida weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naoki Kawasaki, and the three ringside judges are Takeshi Shimizu, Kenji Fujimoto and Kazuhiko Ozawa.  

Round 1: 

McTavish feints a right, and then snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
McTavish connects with a right uppercut.
