Olindo Mar vs Angel Bazan

Boxing Daily Report from the Ballantyne Promotions promoted show at Quinto Jiminez Gym, Panama City,  taking place on 08/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Panama-Panama State Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Olindo Mar (11 - 0) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Angel Bazan(11 - 2 - 1) from Panama City, Panama.  Both Mar and Bazan weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roman Giraldo, and the three ringside judges are Zelipe Prudencio, Joaquin Marquez and Juan Bailen.  

Round 1: 

Mar steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Bazan advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Bazan steps inside.  Mar pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mar throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
