Polad Safaev vs Malik Can

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Azerbaijan-Absheron promoted show at Muzaffar Allakhyarov Gym, Baku,  taking place on 14/08/2026:

Clearly AI Azerbaijan-Absheron have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Azerbaijan-Absheron Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Polad Safaev (10 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Baku, Azerbaijan and Malik Can(15 - 1) from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Safaev weighed in at 130 pounds, while Can weighed in at 129 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yasaf Mahmudov, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Khokhar, Huseinqulu Ismailov and Ulfet Kadyrov.
