Ahmed Mallick vs Aftab Taheri

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Saudi Arabia-West promoted show at Jeddah Benaldjia, Jeddah,  taking place on 09/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Saudi Arabia-West Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ahmed Mallick (11 - 5 - 3) who hails from Medina, Saudi Arabia and Aftab Taheri(15 - 4 - 5) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  Both Mallick and Taheri weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Danyaal Negein, and the three ringside judges are Aftab Hegazi, Zain Welshel and Ibrahim Bicery.  

Round 1: 

Mallick finds the target with a jab.  
Mallick steps away from his opponent.  Taheri feints a cross, tricking Mallick into throwing a left hook counter.  Taheri springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.
