Oscar Muzorewa vs Lloyd Matongo

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Brett Gilkison Gym, Harare,  taking place on 12/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oscar Muzorewa (7 - 10 - 2) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Lloyd Matongo(10 - 1 - 5) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Muzorewa and Matongo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Mangwende, and the three ringside judges are Darryl Sibanda, Quintavius Mubako and Chris Tholet.  

Round 1: 

Matongo walks his opponent into a corner.  Muzorewa finds the target with a jab.  
Muzorewa is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.
