Diego Lobos vs Marco Betancourt

Boxing Daily Report from the Nyauza Promotions promoted show at Salvador Noronha, Salvador,  taking place on 11/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Brazil-Bahia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Lobos (10 - 7 - 5) who hails from Salvador, Brazil and Marco Betancourt(7 - 2) from Salvador, Brazil.  Both Lobos and Betancourt weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Maria, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Pinheiro, Rafael Eanes and Ivan Pinta.  

Round 1: 

Betancourt gets on the inside.  Lobos drives a right hook into Betancourt's body.  
Betancourt digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Betancourt gets on the inside and manouvers Lobos into a corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Betancourt dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Betancourt cuts off the ring, trapping Lobos in a corner.  Betancourt pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lobos throws a right uppercut, but Betancourt clinches his opponent.  Betancourt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Betancourt uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lobos behind the head. Betancourt is using his forearm in the clinch.
