Jeraldo Casco vs Juan Laurel

Boxing Daily Report from the Eduardo Zambrano promoted show at Santiago Manas Gym, Maracay,  taking place on 11/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Venezuela-Aragua Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jeraldo Casco (12 - 9 - 3) who hails from Maracay, Venezuela and Juan Laurel(4 - 4 - 3) from Maracay, Venezuela.  Both Casco and Laurel weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montel Barabas, and the three ringside judges are Ulises Ballesteros, Quin Alamo and Quin Alamo.  

Round 1: 

Laurel lands a jab.  
Laurel steps inside.  Casco connects with a left hook.  
Casco lands a cross.  
Laurel closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Laurel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laurel throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Casco's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Casco drives a cross into his opponents body.
