Gig Pantoja vs Marco Merida

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Guayas promoted show at Jax Bolivar Gym, Guayaquil,  taking place on 14/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gig Pantoja (4 - 0) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Marco Merida(17 - 2 - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Pantoja weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces, while Merida weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Corzo, and the three ringside judges are Roman Parrilla, Jesus Luy and Santiago Ferro.

Pantoja slams a DESTRUCTIVE left uppercut into Merida's body.  MERIDA IS DOWN!  THE REF IMMEDIATELY WAVES OFF THE FIGHT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Pantoja!
